I spent yesterday shopping for the proper dress attire for the event (thank you for dealing with my shopping spree Brittany), which it was rather difficult to find Cameron the right dress, and sadly I never found one. Hopefully when I reach my destination ((whispers) which is COLORADO!!) I will be able to find her something suitable. I also spent most of the evening looking for shoes for me (and her), this wouldnt be an issue but, my feet grew a little over a half size since my pregnancy... so I can no longer wear my beautiful Steve Madden heels that I have shamelessly collected over the years!
I started packing yesterday at like 4. It is noon the next day and I am still not done! I spent about an hour rearranging the diaper bag. I even tried out two old large purses that I have, only to go back to the original diaper bag because its the only one that is able to hold all Cami's stuff and my laptop. So far I have surpassed the usual large backpack and started packing another. I really wish I was able to get all of the mommy and baby items into my one pack.
((I prefer backpacks because I am able to be hands free (necessary with baby in tow), they are lighter and more convenient. I really think I need to buy a slightly larger pack (or this one) before we go on anymore travel adventures! My current pack holds around 30-35L (around the same as a normal school backpack). These larger ones hold about 60-65L!! Perfect for the both of us!))
Anyway. I ended up packing a backpack for Cameron and one for me. Not what I was shooting for but, whatever. I could bring just one pack and leave my pants at home... that wont work now will it?! This is all a reminder of how much your life changes when baby arrives! Gone are the days of two week long trips with just a day pack! Gone are the fast check-ins at the airport, and I now have to check bags!! (ahh!! I dont think I checked a back in like 10 years until Cami came along!) I am now one of those mothers at the end of the gate trying as fast as possible to fold up my stroller and get out of the way! I feel terrible when Cameron so much as preforms a slight whimper on the plane. But HEY! it all comes with the territory and it's to be expected. And no one really cares if you take longer than 30 seconds to fold your stroller or you kid whines a tad on the plane. And if you do care you are probably in a bad mood!
Aaron spent the greater part of last week at the dentist getting his teeth nice and fixed up! Poor guy was there 3 days in the past week! But thankfully he is happy and teeth healthy now!

Unfortunately, this trip is because my best-est of friends father passed away last Saturday. He will be greatly missed. He was a seriously remarkable man, one that I looked up to and the thought of him will always make me smile.
